On September 19th, the James River Soil and Water Conservation District had the honor of attending the annual Chesterfield Farm Bureau Dinner. We greatly valued this opportunity to not only eat some delicious food, but to network with local farmers, hear their stories, and strengthen our relationships with community members as a part of our ongoing mission to support local farmers and promote agricultural conservation. In attendance were James River Soil and Water Chair Carey Allen, Vice-Chair Laura Lee Thomspon, Appointed Member Stuart Jones, and Appointed Associate Director Sierra Seekford attended the dinner. Moreover, Joseph Gerdes, our Conservation Specialist, was given an opportunity to speak. Ultimately, we at the JRSWCD are grateful for the opportunity to attend the Farm Bureau Dinner and connect with our community.
