Calling all Farmers in Chesterfield and Prince George County! Are you or someone you know interested in implementing conservation practices? The Virginia Agricultural Cost-Share Program (VACS) supports farmers and landowners in implementing various conservation practices. These practices aim to address runoff on cropland, pastureland, hayland, and forested land. The minimum requirements are:
- Farm must be located in Chesterfield or Prince George County
- Own at least 5 continuous acres
- Land is used to produce agricultural, horticultural, or forest crops to sell and used in a legal agricultural management program
- Earned an income of $1000 or more from your farm for at least the last 3 years
